Blackpool Central Pier The Legends

Blackpool Central Pier The Legends

A tradition for over 21 years, The Legends celebrates famous popular musicians with performances of their hit songs. This is much better than karaoke or having to listen to someone randomly attempting to sing Bohemian Rhapsody, these professional impersonators have really got talent.

It’s like listening to several hours of X factor live. Confident, loud, dazzling with costumes and interspersed with jokes and fun for all the family. You will sure to be up and dancing. At the moment, Blackpool Central Pier The Legends is featuring Meat Loaf, Tom Jones, Robbie Williams and Freddie Mercury.

 Love, dance, sing!

At first glance when I see these names I’m thinking about romance. Tom Jones was the first love of every housewife on the planet and used to have items of adoration thrown at him from fainting ladies. Meat Loaf’s notorious song ‘Paradise by the Dashboard Lights’ brings back memories of teenage passions and the important questions of youth.

Robbie Williams is the raconteur of the show, telling stories of love won and lost and his generous heartfelt wisdom. In the year that Freddie Mercury would have turned 65, who can forget the immortal words of ‘Love of my Life, Don’t Leave me’.

As with all great performers, their songs are good to dance to. Great hits like “What’s New Pussycat?” by Tom Jones, “Killer Queen” by the Freddie Mercury tribute act, “Rock DJ” by Robbie Williams are sure to get the crowd moving. Sing until you are hoarse to great tunes like “I Would do Anything for Love” by Meatloaf and “Delilah” by Tom Jones.

A fun night out for all ages, the Central Pier, also known as the ‘People’s Pier’, has long been associated with entertainment providing access to dancing and singing. The Pier End Bar is a good place to eat with the family, and you can also take a ride on the dodgem cars and the helter skelter and of course, The Big Wheel ferris wheel ride.

Be sure to locate the Central Pier by finding the iconic 33 meter high ferris wheel which sits at the front of the decking. This pier was originally constructed in 1868, and later when the Victorian era saw a rush of quality construction along the Blackpool promenade, the Central Pier Theatre was built. Today, it is known as The Legends Showbar and is the location of  Blackpool Central Pier The Legends.
