Circus of Horrors at Blackpool Pleasure Beach

It is fair to say that no-one does Halloween better than Blackpool. From the decorative Blackpool Illuminations and light displays down the Blackpool Promenade, to spooky trams, and tourists walking around in scary fancy dress, this Halloween is sure to be as enjoyable as ever. Circus of Horrors is the brand new Halloween spectacular showing at the The Globe, for six performances only, at Blackpool Pleasure Beach resort. This year, the show is called "London after Midnight", and features a series of skits which are, oddly historically accurate! So for a good scare, and a little bit of education, fun, and laughs, and some amazing special effects, this show is right up there. The Circus of Horrors is a fusion of circus acts, daredevil entertainment, and stunning choreography, with a cast of 26, and live rock music from band leader Dr Haze. The show has toured around the world, with rave revues ensuing from Munich, Buenos Aires, London, and the United States. David Hasselhoff (from Baywatch fame) calls the show great entertainment, and cool Radio 1 DJ Scott Mills says it is "totally unbelievable" - which I believe is imperfect grammar meaning "really good." Many may not know that the show first hit the spotlight as a competitive act in the Britain's Got Talent reality show, with the goal of celebrating 18 years of rock 'n' roll history and combining this idea with a scary take on the history of London. The original troupe performed a reduced-length act in front of crowds at Glastonbury in 1995, and from there, slowly achieved a cult following around the world. It's almost a musical that grew up on the strength of experience with performances, as opposed to being written and then revived. For something a little different, and a little scary, this Halloween, make sure you catch a performance of London after Midnight by the Circus of Horrors at Blackpool's Pleasure Beach resort.
