Gary Barlow in Concert
Summer Jubilee darling, Gary Barlow, hits Blackpool’s Opera House on January 4th 2013. For a Friday night filled with songs we all love and remember, alongside what is bound to be a show spectacular with choreography and special guest Nell Bryden, Barlow and Take That fans get ready!
Gary Barlow’s 2013 Tour is his first solo tour in 13 years and takes in 16 UK locations. All this in between his commitment to the X-Factor, receiving knighthoods etc!
Songs from Gary Barlow’s Career
He has promised to play songs spanning his entire career so for fans of Barlow and Take That, or for anyone who has basically turned on a radio in the last decade, the evening will be extremely enjoyable.
A few of the songs you can expect to hear include “Patience”, “She’s the One”, “Pray” and “Greatest Day”. The Jubilee song which he wrote for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations “Sing” is bound to be sung also, as the hit reached number one in the UK charts in summer 2012.
Barlow is the major songwriting talent behind Take That’s string of hits, and writes song lyrics that are uplifting and inspirational. You won’t go away from an evening with Gary Barlow without feeling as if life is somehow better and brighter, the world is a lovely place and you’ve come so far in your own personal journey.
Good stuff indeed.
This summer Gary Barlow was honoured with an OBE for services to the Queen. This was based on his hard work and organisational skills in putting on the people’s concert for the Diamond Jubilee. Artists from all over the world played songs for the Queen in an outdoor concert at the front of Buckingham Palace. This event was watched around the world and the songs and celebrations will remain part of history for all time.
Last year he sang a fantastic duet with Michael Buble about coming home for Christmas, and has also performed in duet with Robbie Williams, alongside writing chart topping songs for Charlotte Church and Shirley Bassey.
I don’t need to tell you that tickets for Barlow’s first solo tour in 13 years will sell out like hot cakes. You may be able to get some through your Blackpool Hotel, or some last minute sales direct from the Opera House. Be sure not to miss a feel-good start to the new year in 2013 by seeing Gary Barlow in Concert in January 2013.
